Barrel Picks

A barrel pick begins with a single barrel set aside by the distillery, then bottled only for one store. At Charred Oak, the final choice belongs to our customers. They taste, compare and decide which barrel earns the label. Because it is a single barrel, once those bottles are gone, that pick is gone for good.

How a pick happens

01

The Table Chooses

We put the final decision in the hands of the people taking the bottles home. You taste the options, compare them side by side and choose the barrel you want to see on the shelf. The pick reflects the customer’s palate, not a house preference.

02

A Different Group Every Time

Each selection is made by roughly five to eight customers, with a different group invited every time. New palates bring new preferences, which means each barrel develops its own story. No two groups choose exactly alike, and no two Charred Oak picks taste alike.

03

A Seat Means Commitment

A seat at the table comes with a commitment to the barrel: usually a case, sometimes two, or a pre-buy before bottling. In return, you take part in the selection, receive case pricing and have bottles ready to share with friends and family.

Put Your Name In

Seats are limited, and each one comes with a commitment to the barrel you help select. If you want to be considered for an upcoming pick, tell us you are interested. We will reach out before the next set of barrels is put on the table.
